Life Lessons

Okay, starting today I am adding a new section to my blog called,
"Life Lessons". So lesson #1. Never wash a blue bath rug and a yellow bath rug together.

As we all know from preschool, yellow and blue make green. Yes, that's right, my yellow rug is now the nice color of a neon green, not even a nice color green, but neon.
I have been washing these rugs so often due to Caleb missing the potty that I thought I would save some time today by washing them together...the only time I've saved will be the drying time of the "use to be" yelllow rug because it is now in the trash and I have to make a run to the store to see if they have something useful for the duckie bathroom...

Love it! I've had a lot of those laundry lessons over the years. A few years ago I relearned the importance of checking tags before I dry unfamiliar articles of clothing. I learned this after shrinking Andrew's favorite wool sweater (now it's mine). Sometimes I need reminders though since I recently shrunk one sock from two different pairs of expensive wool hiking socks. Now Drew has one pair of mismatched socks that fit just right and one pair that's a bit too small. Oh well. He still can't quite remember that bras do not go in the dryer.

I have done that same thing for the same purpose. I know that i"ve mentionede it but Tim reminds me so much of Caleb. The cars (toys and movie), Spongebob-so many things. It is fun having a :)

I just did the same thing today with some towels I was trying to save a few minutes on. Even though I hesitated before doing it I just had to press my luck.

That is the exact reason why I am NOT buying anything NEW until Jacob is 18!! Just washed all my rugs and Jake wasnt feeling well and puked everywhere (clean rugs, couch...) Just keep the neon green rug and wash it with something red next time. Who knows, you might invent a new color for crayola!

Hell, put the rugs in the closet and wait...
naw...

they STILL miss...even when they're 60!!!

...do we REALLY need a rug that close to the toilet...?

HA HA... I know I use towels in the bathroom for "rugs" because between bath-time ( otherwise known as flood the bathroom time" and 3 boys I wash them daily. Thanks for the note about the movers... Friday they come for our storage and monday they come for the boat shipment and thursday they come for the plane shipment.... it is mind boggling.... and every move I wonder how we have soooo much stuff ! ( I sold a bunch I donated a bunch and yet it seems like we have a ton hahahahah)
