Disorganized

I'm not sure when it happened, but I haven't always been a disorganized person. I think I've always struggled not to be and now that I have kids, it has taken me over. I spent the entire day trying to organize my kitchen. Instead of making me feel better, I think it may have depressed me. I have all this cabinet space, but I still can't seem make everything fit. Do I have too much stuff? I threw away some stuff and packed away bottles and some sippy cups and yet there seems to be too much stuff...or not enough space. Everything in my kitchen, I use. I like to cook and bake and entertain...should I stop doing one of them so that I have space? UGH! I guess today, I will try to finish the kitchen and move on to another room. I am NOT looking forward to it, but it has to be done. Prepare yourselves, you will probably hear more about my struggle!

PC or MAC

As many of you know, I have been putting off buying a new computer. Well, the time has come. I can no longer download pictures, and many times I can't post on Facebook and at other times, I haven't been able to open my blog page (hence why I haven't posted).

The dilemma has been whether or not to buy a PC or a MAC. I have only owned PCs and I have never used a MAC. So, I thought my choice was pretty easy. But, Shawn has been insisting that a MAC is better and will last longer (I've had my current PC for 5 years). So, I've been looking into the MAC and I'm surprisingly impressed with how user friendly it seems.

Now, the dilemma isn't whether to buy a PC or MAC, but instead which MAC to buy... I'm waiting for Shawn to get home to help me decide. Hurry home honey!

Mystery Smell

Have you ever had a smell in your house and you look and look for it's origin and there just doesn't seem to be anything to find? Well, that was me this morning, there was this mystery smell coming from the foyer. I thought maybe some one's tennis shoes or a rug that needed to be washed...and then I seen something, a small glimpse of blue inside my vase.

A closer look revealed a sippy cup, a sippy cup that was filled with milk, or at this point, filled with spoiled, creamy, disgusting, smelling yuck!

I have no idea how long it had been in there. So Gross!

Wholly Tomato

I went out to get a few tomatoes to put on our homemade pizzas last night and this is what I found.

I could start a small roadside produce stand with all these tomatoes.

Caleb wouldn't come outside with me to pick tomatoes because he says, "mom, the bugs eat me". It's true, the mesquitos are bad in our backyard, but he's terrified of going outside at night (thanks Shawn). Riley on the other hand came out with me (not to pick tomatoes) to play a little football and play with his new plane. He's my brave boy.

4 wheels and a helmet

Before Shawn left, he insisted on buying Caleb a bike (a little seperation guilt). It's a really nice bike too, with brakes on the handle bar and trick bars on the front tires (because Caleb is all about the tricks...NOT).

Caleb really likes the bike, but I think he may like his knee pads better. He has been doing a lot of falling, but thankfully he gets right back up and tries again.

He thinks he's like one of the big boys in our neighborhood who do tricks off ramps.

The pedals are hard to find sometimes..

And hard to push sometimes...

Twilight Zone

I put 4 rugs into the washing machine, two brown, one beige, one blue. Before I went to bed, I put into the dryer 4 rugs, two brown, one beige, one blue. This morning, I pulled 4 brown rugs out of the dryer....WHAT IS GOING ON?? I swear it the freakin Twilight Zone! Where did 4 brown rugs come from!

Fruits of our labor

We are finally getting some produce from our little garden. It consists of several pots filled with cherry tomatoes, beef tomatoes, and eggplant. The cherry tomatoes are producing the most right now, but we have at least 4-5 eggplant almost ready for harvesting, and one 8 inch that we've already cut. And before we eat them all, Shawn wanted to capture the fruits of our labor.

Basil

Beef Tomato
(still green because one of the birds knocked it off the plant)
