All Alone

We are getting ready for Shawn's first deployment. He leaves tomorrow and will be home for Valentine's Day. He will be very missed, especially by me. I have promised myself that I will have the boxes unpacked from the spare bedroom (that will be Reilly's room) by the time he gets back. The room is overwhelmed with boxess and "stuff". I am really wanting to get the crib put together and get the baby's room organized. I need to take stock of everything that I'm missing. I know that I need a bouncy chair and a bathtub and a mobile and a floor gym. I had all those items with Caleb, but they made it into our storage items. They actually have a nice baby selection here at the Navy Exchange, so I'm looking forward to going shopping. I need to get a double stroller too and an infant carrier, but I'll probably order that online. I really worry about Caleb with the new baby. He is so use to being the "baby" that I'm worried we are going to see many behaviors that I was hoping were history. I'm hoping to keep him busy after the baby comes with swimming and summer activities, although I have been told that the humitidy here is no weather for a baby....good thing I have a blow up pool to put in the backyard.

By the way, I am looking for any of my girls who have finished breastfeeding to send me their large cover up....the purple cover up....do you know what I'm speaking of???? Please.

Hi Rachael,

I look at your cute preggers pic and just miss you so much!! That picture is so beautiful...the old saying is true you are beaming!! We miss Caleb as well...We are going to scrap at Lea's tomorrow and will miss having you there....

Anyhow, I am done with my coverup and will not need it for at least 2 years, so I would love to send it to you!! I just have to wash it, then I'll get it in the mail.

The house looks great so far-you do fast work. I bet it was nice to get everything put away. Sometimes I think moving would be a good way to force me to organize my house....yikes.

We dodged a bullet recently. Darin was supposed to leave for Iraq this weekend, but the mono is still in his blood so he can't go!!! Yeah!!

Spencer just found his way down here....gotta run.

Hey Rachael - I feel for you! Moving sucks! I remember moving from my townhouse to my little apartment - I didn't know how I would ever make it all fit in! It does somehow!

And how did you get Caleb to start pooping so early? Max still doesn't want to and he is 3 1/2!!!

Love ya -
Rebecca

Rebecca,
When I said that Caleb was telling me he pooped it's not because he went to the potty it was because his diaper was dirty...Caleb doesn't want anything to do with the potty. I read an article that said boys on average potty train by 3, on average. So don't worry about Max. I've never met an adult that was still wearing a diaper...
